The Big Muddy Challenge is a squishy, slimy, awesome event designed to get the whole family messy and having a great adventure together. Kids (ages six and up) and grownups race side-by-side on a 2 mile course in the muck as they navigate a series of obstacles on their way to the finish line (and a shower.)  The 2nd annual event in this region is on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Belvedere Plantation in Fredericksburg, VA.

The Big Muddy Challenge was created by a group of “Epic Adventure Endurance” folks who found that having kids changed things. (Yeah it sure does!) So they decided to change the game by designing a way to share the endurance experience with parents and their children. The result? A fun, and truly memorable challenge that has families utilizing each-others strengths and spirits to reach the finish line.

Participants navigate age appropriate obstacles in a “race” themed event.  How fast you finish matters, kinda, but not as much as how you tackle the course.

Location: Big Muddy Challenge at Belvedere Plantation - 1420 Belvedere Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.

Voucher Includes: Each voucher is for a single entry (adult or child ages 6+) to the September 13 Big Muddy Challenge. One voucher required per person. 

Event Details:

• September 13, 2014
• 2-mile obstacle course designed for families to tackle together.
• For kids 6 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
• Waves start every 10 minutes from 9:00 AM to Noon. You will pick an available wave when you register.
• The event will go on rain or shine.
• No refunds can be provided after you purchase this voucher.
• This event takes place one week before Belvedere's fall grand opening. There will be a $10 per car fee to enter the grounds to participate in the Big Muddy Challenge. This $10 fee allows you to say all day and enjoy the rest of the Belvedere Plantation fall experience.
• Costumes, high fives, lots of cheering, and a safety-first mindset are encouraged.
• This is not a timed event.

• This deal is redeemable for admission to a specific ticketed event and venue. It has no value once the event date and time has passed and is only refundable on day of purchase. Vouchers are not refunded for inclement weather.

You Must Register for the Event: You must register for the event after purchasing the voucher. Go to the Big Muddy Challenge registration page by clicking here or by going to www.bigmuddychallenge.com/events and selecting the September 13th registration option.

1. Select your desired start time.
2. Enter participant #1 registration information.  You will have the chance to make up a team name (this is strongly suggested and will make running as a group easier.)
3. At the checkout page - enter the 9-digit vendor code that starts with CK from your voucher (not the 12-digit CertifiKID coupon code) for participant #1. This will waive fees.
4. If you have multiple vouchers, click "Add Another Participant" (BLUE Text) and repeat steps one through three.

Some start waves will sell out quickly. Act now to get your preferred wave time. Be aware that the race uses Active.com for registration and you will be asked if you want to become a member of Active.com - read instructions carefully.
