Owner, Shannon, spent ten years in the restaurant industry. A vocation that added a volcanic vibe to her passion for food which soon turned into a smoldering love affair of the pastry persuasion. When she found little in her area to satiate her craving for confections, she decided to put her experience to use as a public service to assuage this local sugary snack crisis. To save the honorable citizens of the metro area, Babycakes was born.

At Babycakes, they live by three simple rules - whenever possible: (1) Do it BEST, (2) Keep it LOCAL, and (3) Swing with the SEASONS. They bring those super powers into the bakery by working with fresh, in-season ingredients, supporting our local farmers and small business. You won’t find any “evil” chemically enhanced Strawberry-Rhubarb cupcakes on their baking racks in the dead of winter. The butter, cream and eggs they use are nothing less than farm fresh (like from actual farms). They know that the best stuff makes the best cupcake and they stick to what they know.

Each Valentine's Box will contain 12 truffles (4 of each flavor) - Chocolate Espresso, Chocolate Chamboad (raspberry) and Dark Chocolate Caramel w/ Fleur de Sel and will be wrapped in ribbon and ready to gift to the sweetheart of your choice.

Free Delivery to the Beltway Corridor which includes: Washington, DC; Northern VA (Fairfax County, Arlington County, City of Alexandria and City of Falls Church); Maryland (Montgomery County - Bethesda, Rockville, Potomac, North Potomac, Kensington, Silver Spring, Chevy Chase & Prince George's County) Southern MD (Charles, Calvert and St Mary's Counties).

For delivery from February 11, 2012 through February 29, 2012.  Delivery is first come first serve, particularly for Feb 14th.
