Deal Details

This summer enrich their learning through experiential fun at a MicroED Summer Camp. Camps are for children ages 8-12 held at the Hub in downtown Leesburg for four weeks.

2016 Camps Offered:

June 20-24: Art: Nature. Take nature walks, keep a nature notebook, create artwork inspired by nature, connect academic areas such as math, science and history to nature, and meet with local artists and nature experts.

June 27-July 1: Citizenship: Learn to Serve. Identify ways to become a better citizen and explore service within the community. Create and carry out a service project applying entrepreneurial skills such as planning, networking and marketing.

July 11-15: Citizenship: First Amendment. Learn within the community, and identify different ways freedoms can be applied to express our thoughts and ideas. Includes visits from local legislators, visits to Washington, D.C., Harper’s Ferry and local newspapers, and a scavenger hunt.

July 18-22 Art: Architecture. Learn how to visualize and create drawings of famous architectural facades like the Louvre and Eiffel Tower through one-point perspective and models.
