NoVA Play Labs is offering fun and imaginative preschool classes for children ages 18 months to 6 years. Each class accommodates 8 kids to allow for individual attention and is designed to foster imaginative, creative, purposeful learning in a fun environment.
Enrollment in class also gives students access to the play area after class. The play area at NoVA Play Labs centers around a cool, custom-created two story play structure that allows for lots of hands-on imaginative play. The soft flooring made of rubber tiles ensures a safe foundation for kiddos at all stages of “get-up-and-go” including crawlers and walkers. Bigger kids are drawn to exploring the magnet boards, LEGO boards, and everyone loves the dress-up clothes.
Choose from the following class options:
NEW! Baby Sensory – This 50 minute class meets on Fridays at 10:00am.
Caregivers will learn way to engage the baby's senses: sight, touch, smell and sound. There will also be time to discuss developmental milestones. For ages 3-12m.
NEW! M&M: Music & Movement – This 50 minute class meets on Fridays at 11:00am.
Music ignites all areas of child development: intellectual, social and emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. For ages 1-5y.
Creation Station – This 50 minute class meets on Fridays at 10:50am.
A fun and creative class where the process is more important than the final product. With some guidance from the instructor, participants will work with various materials, both new and recycled, to make unique crafts. Using their own imagination, students will have lots of opportunities to use scissors, paintbrushes, glue, glue sticks and other tools to practice their fine motor skills in a self guided environment. For ages 18m-6y.
Meet the Masters – This 50 minute class meets on Wednesdays at 9:50am or Thursdays at 2:00pm.
Students will learn about the style and history of the Great Masters, such as Mondrian, Warhol, Monet, and others, and create their own masterpiece. For ages 2-6y.
Storybook Art – This 50 minute class meets on Mondays at 9:50am or Thursdays at 10:50am.
Playdough with Plato – This 50 minute class meets on Wednesdays at 10:50 am or Fridays at 2:00pm.
There’s more to playdough than just squishing the dough. We will use playdough to teach about shapes, letters, counting, animals and other everyday objects. If you're looking for a class for mixed age siblings, this is the perfect class for them because the older child can work on the higher level activity (numbers, letters, patterns, etc) while the younger child works on her fine motor skills like rolling, cutting and stamping. For ages 18m-6y.
