Looking for some family fun on a hot summer Saturday? Enjoy a morning art project with your kids followed by a ride on the beautifully restored historic carousel at Glen Echo Park.

Saturday Art Explorers offers parent/child drop-in art activities every Saturday morning from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Candy Corner studio at Glen Echo Park. Activities take about 30 minutes and change weekly. No preregistration. For kids ages 10 and under with an adult.

After expressing your creativity, take a ride on the historic Dentzel Carousel, one of the area’s most popular musical merry-go-rounds. Dating from 1921, this carousel has been beautifully restored and features carved jack rabbits, ostriches, tigers, deer and giraffes along with the standard horses. With this deal you and your kids will enjoy a beautiful Saturday in Glen Echo Park.

Dentzel Carousel:

• June - August: Wed/Thurs/Fri: 10am - 2pm, Sat/Sun 11am - 5pm
• September: Sat/Sun: 11am - 5pm

What You Need to Know:

• Purchase of this voucher enables you to receive 4 carousel tickets and 2 admissions (child w/parent or guardian = one admission) to Saturday Art Explorers family art studio.
• The 2 admissions to Saturday Art Explorers may be used over two visits for a single child or one visit for two children. For kids ages 10 and under with an adult.
• The 4 carousel tickets can be shared between multiple people and used over multiple visits.
• All riders require a ticket (1 ride per person per ticket).
• Carousel tickets valid any day the carousel is open.
• Saturday Art Explorers admission valid only during Saturday Art Explorers hours (listed above) from July 16 - September 30.
