The American Academy of Pediatrics encourages all parents to learn how to save the life of a child or infant who is having a breathing emergency. Choking and suffocation are serious risks, and are listed by the Academy as two of the most important safety issues in children under 6 years of age. It’s important that parents and caregivers have the skills needed to address these emergencies. The Safe Start Baby training does just that!
The 411: Our Safe Start Baby CPR Training is designed to teach parents and caregivers how to properly prevent, identify, and respond, to breathing and cardiac emergencies in children 0 – 8 years of age. You will be given the proper basic skills needed to care for your infant or child until medical services arrive. The Safe Start Baby training typically takes between 1 - 2 hrs and focuses on the following skills:
- Injury Prevention
- Recognizing an Emergency
- Responding to an Emergency
- Child & Infant Conscious Choking
- Child & Infant CPR
- Child & Infant Unconscious Choking
They will come to you! Safe Start Baby understands the busy lives of parents and they know your time is precious; therefore they offer in-home, private classes which are scheduled based on your availability.
CPR doesn’t have to be boring - make it fun! Make this important life-saving training a social event. Schedule your training with family and friends as a morning brunch, as an afternoon lunch, or as an evening cocktail party. Training is available for individuals, couples, and groups up to 20 participants.
