Now that things have settled down and we’ve gotten that whole “Back-To-School” thing out of the way, guess what comes next ….

Back to fundraising!

Just when we thought we’d emerged victorious over the scourge of summer schedules, school shows up on the stoop. Flip-flops and National Lampoon style family road trips are replaced backpacks and drop-off lines. 

 

Why is it SO hard to keep a minivan clean with two little kids? No matter how hard I try, a day doesn't go by without a spilled milk or goldfish spill. However, after running a deal on a Mobile One's car detail and getting lots of rave reviews, I finally decided (with major urging from my husband) to try the deal myself when we ran it a second time and hoped it could be my miracle cure.

My little sister is about to have baby #2. I wanted to do something special for her, but we already did the big baby shower thing for her baby #1. So I had the perfect idea when I thought back to the very successful Nail Taxi party deal we ran this past Spring. I decided to make it a "drizzle" (get it...not "shower"). It turned out to be two and a half hours of relaxation, yummy treats by Babycakes and pure pampering...here are the fun details...

Visiting Clark's Elioak Farm today with my children and grandchildren was like going back in time to my childhood. As I entered the farm, my attention immediately went to the large story book structures that I had remembered seeing more than 40 years ago when my parents took me to the Enchanted Forest.
