Downtown Columbia’s third annual Books In Bloom book festival is the ultimate celebration of books and reading. This family-friendly event will take over Merriweather Post Pavilion and bring together over twenty of the country’s best and brightest authors. This daylong festival features author readings, panel discussions, curated culinary offerings, a Rosé and Beer Garden, live music and a Busboys & Poets pop-up bookstore. Fun-filled children’s activities include face painting, puppet shows, glitter tattoos, story time and more. Come explore Merriweather Post Pavilion in a way you’ve never seen it before.

Hosted by The Downtown Columbia Partnership, the organization promotes and advances the growth of Downtown Columbia as a vibrant, diverse, economically robust and desirable place for employment, entertainment, living and learning. Its initiatives, such as Books In Bloom, include supporting cultural and arts programs aimed at enhancing residents’ quality of life.
