Sketchworks is Atlanta’s premier live sketch comedy company and troupe featuring some of Atlanta's top working pros. Their TWO-week Kids Summer Sketch Camp for ages 8-12 and Teen Summer Intensive for ages 13-17 are aimed at developing the next generation of Atlanta's funniest artists and talent. They are the perfect camps for kids and teens to explore their creativity, build self-confidence and make new friends!
 
At Sketchworks Kids Comedy Camp, your child will learn the basics of Sketch Comedy Acting and Writing while having some serious FUN! The first week is devoted to honing their skills for comedic timing and stage performance. By week two, the students will build on those skills by rehearsing for their own live sketch comedy show.
 
Building on the Kids Camp, the Summer Intensive for Teens provides a more hands-on experience where participants learn the ins and outs of sketch comedy live AND video production. Experience a “writing room” to create original sketches, solo pieces, runners, and/or blackout sketches for their very own fully-produced show. Block and rehearse sketches, engage in pre-production and stage management, and much more. In this camp, teens are working alongside their coach to put on their best show possible!
 
This camp includes training in the following:
  • Sketch Writing
  • Acting Technique for Theatre and Film
  • Comedic Timing
  • Solo Sketch Pieces
  • Improv
  • Pre-Production for Film
  • Stage Management

The end result of the kids’ and teens' hard work will be a Sketch Showcase on Saturday starring your HILARIOUS kid. The kids will help come up with a show title/theme and then create special artwork to help promote their show. The entire live performance will be professionally filmed and edited to create a downloadable video!
