Bid Farewell to KidWorks at Port Discovery
It's out with the old and in with new at Port Discovery this month as they begin construction on two brand new immersive, state-of-the-art exhibits: The Port Exhibit, featuring an interactive multi-level ship and a four-story SkyClimber. Squee! Join them as they say a final goodbye to KidWorks, their beloved three-story climber, to make way for these exciting new attractions. A day filled with activities and an exciting celebration will have one lucky kid chosen to be the last person down the slide as they plunge through the decorated banner to a cheerful crowd. Explore an Ice House at the Avenue at White Marsh
Operation Hon: Heat On Now - Ice House Experience is a three-day fundraising event at the Avenue at White Marsh where visitors will get to experience a "house" made out of 300 lb. blocks of ice! Experience what it's like to be in a home without electricity or heat - BRRR! Ice House days/hours are: Jan. 11th, 3 - 9 p.m.; Jan. 12th, Noon - 9 p.m.; Jan. 13th, Noon - 6 p.m. This fundraising event also includes a glow skate party on the 6,900-square-foot outdoor ice rink on January 11th from 7 - 10 p.m. For details, please check out the Avenue at White Marsh event page.

Skate for a Cause at Pandora Ice Rink in Baltimore's Inner Harbor
Have a blast gliding around the ice with the family while supporting the Special Olympics of Maryland at the annual SkateFest fundraising event. This year's SkateFest will take place on January 10th from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Click HERE for more information.

Music Box Concert Series for Kids by The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra
The BSO hosts a delightful monthly, interactive concert series for young children ages 6 months to 3-years old in the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall lobby. January's theme is BUGS! During this 30-minute performance, the BSO will perform classical and beloved children's songs to help children develop musicality, creativity, coordination and literacy. There are two performances to choose from on January 12th, 10 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. Seating is general admission, but tickets are required. Celebrate African American Culture at the Baltimore County Public Library
The Baltimore County Public Library is hosting a Maker Workshop for Kids on January 12th from 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Come learn about and celebrate African American culture and history by participating in music, art, dance and craft activities. The Maryland Science Center is hosting a FREE Total Lunar Eclipse event in their Observatory on January 20th from 10:30 p.m. - 1 a.m. Join MSC staff to watch the eclipse through their rooftop telescopes, and then get even closer by peering through their massive Clark Telescope in the Observatory. 19th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade, Baltimore
