Fun Craft Activities to Welcome Spring With Kids

If you’re anything like me, you are ready for spring. Sure, playing in the snow is fun, but I LOVE the warm weather. When the air begins to warm and the butterflies come out to play, there are so many more options for having fun with the kids, too.

To welcome spring this year, the kids and I are going a bit craft crazy. And since we’ve already made my famous tissue paper flowers about a hundred times, I decided to peruse some of my favorite crafty blogs for new ideas.

Craft Activities to Welcome Spring With Kids

1.    Paper Bag Butterflies

Have you ever raised butterflies or planted a butterfly garden? If so, your kids are probably in love with the world’s prettiest bugs. Why not make one that you can keep in the house?

For this craft, you’ll need: 

White paper lunch bag	Acrylic paint (color of your choice)
Two 6-inch heart doilies	Do-A-Dot Art Markers
Paint brush	Pipe cleaner (cut in half)
Black marker	Large googly eyes

Why should butterflies get all the love? There are so many more cool bugs that come out in the spring! These adorable ladybugs will twirl around wherever you hang them. They’d make a super cute birthday party decoration.

Construction paper, various colors	Something round for tracing (jar, can, etc.)
