Fluid Movement Water Ballet's 20th Anniversary at Patterson Park in Baltimore
Start August with a splash at Fluid Movement, the Water Ballet's 20th Anniversary show. Synchronized swimming and water ballet come together to create this incredible performance. The show includes drama, comedy, choreography and unique costumes. Calling all furry friends and dog-lovers to the Puppy Days of Summer Block Party on August 10th from 4:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. The Puppy Block Party returns this year and is focused on the tiniest, cutest puppers. Mud Day at Lake Roland in Baltimore
If your kids love making mud pies, sliding through mud puddles, and playing in the mud, we have an event for you! Head to Mud Day on August 18th from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at Lake Roland for a day of dirt, a whole lot of mess, and most likely an extra set of clothes. There will be mud painting, mud sculptures, mud games, a muddy obstacle course, and of course, the very popular mud pit! Rinse off all the mud by running through the sprinklers and be sure to wear clothes that are meant for a muddy play day. Participants must wear water shoes or Crocs to run the obstacle course. Backyard Butterflies at Oregon Ridge Nature Center in Cockeysville, Maryland
Explore the life cycle of butterflies at Backyard Butterflies at Oregon Ridge Nature Center on August 24th from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Kids will be able to observe and study caterpillars and chrysalides up close at this interactive workshop. Grab a butterfly net and wander through the meadow and garden in search of butterflies. This event is recommended for children ages 5 and up; children must be accompanied by an adult.
