Camp Runoia has all of the amazing offerings of the best summer camps: a 40-foot climbing tower, an onsite riding program, a beautiful waterfront and private shoreline, amazing food, and caring, qualified counselors. And yet, the magic of Runoia is something more – a welcoming environment and a culture of choice that allows campers to explore their interests and individuality while building community together.

Equestrian Camp: Spend a week immersed in horseback riding under the instruction of our lead coach Sherri West, a collegiate-level coach and Equestrian Director at Hollins University! Campers of all levels will experience two 1-hour small group lessons per day plus two unmounted lessons. In between lessons, there will be daily waterfront time and other opportunities for classic camp fun. Camp will conclude with a horse show for campers to show off their new skills to their families!
This camp is open for girls in rising grades 5-12, suitable for all level riders, and ideal for IEA/AEL riders.
Sailing Camp: Spend a week immersed in sailing on the blue waves of Great Pond, the largest of the Belgrade Lakes in Central Maine. Campers will spend their days learning to rig Runoia's JY-15s, points of sail, mastering the wind, and more! Our lead coach for the week is Josie Pamment, our Head of Sailing who has spent four summers with us on Great Pond. Belgrade Lakes is a beautiful region for campers' families to explore during their stay at Runoia.
This camp is open for girls in rising grades 7-12 and suitable for all ability and experience levels.
