When you think of summertime, it conjures up memories of barbeques, pool days, and awesome summer camp experiences. Now that you’re a parent, it’s time to enroll your kids in a camp they love! There are so many summer camps in the Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. area. From traditional day camps and sports camps to academic camps and specialty camps, there are so many options to choose from that weren't even on the radar when we were kids. Check out this list of unique summer camps in the Washington, D.C. area that may make you wish you were a kid again!
1. Federation of Galaxy Explorers Space Camp
The Federation of Galaxy Explorers holds a space camp every summer in Northern Virginia. The camp is perfect for kids moving into grades 3-6 who are interested in learning more about our universe. This camp is designed to introduce kids to space exploration right here on earth by training just like an astronaut.
