Real Mom Review: Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Natural Bridge

Real Mom Reviews Things to Do Family Travel

Our camping trip at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Natural Bridge was awesome! When we made our reservation, the agent booked us in a tent site right next to all the activities and bathroom, which was so convenient. Check-in was a breeze. We did not even have to get out of our car because they checked us in at the entry booth and escorted us to our campsite.

I would recommend bringing a portable canopy for shade as there is no covering provided. Fortunately, we were located on a corner with trees bordering two sides that provided some shade. The tent area is sectioned off with wood and is filled with pebbles, so an air mattress or cot would be more comfortable than a sleeping bag.

As for activities, there is a big inflatable slide that takes you down the hill into the lake or stairs for those who would prefer to walk down to the beach by the lake.

My kids enjoyed the challenging inflatable obstacle course in the middle of the lake. Life jackets are provided if needed, as the middle of the lake is rather deep.

Next to the beach are the volleyball court and mini-golf. Back up the hill that overlooks all of this with the mountains in the backdrop is the pool area that includes a spray park and dual water slides.

There is also a jumping pillow, playground, and basketball court where my little ones enjoyed one of the activities called foam fun, which was like a giant bubble bath.

Along the edge are the cafe, ranger station with the store, and a recreation center where characters make occasional appearances for photos and even joined us for some mini-golf. On the other side of the campground is an outdoor theater.

The Natural Bridge is majestic and definitely worth the 10-minute drive from the campground and the admission fees.  Along the trail is a stream with little waterfalls and an Indian village. The children liked the hands-on educational display and had some treats at the cafe.
