Real Mom Review: AvalancheXpress at Heritage Hills Golf Resort

As a single mom, I was looking for an easy, reasonably priced winter getaway for my three children, ages 8-13. When the Heritage Hills Golf Resort and AvalancheXpress package came through from CertifiKID, I was amazed at the price, easy location and package inclusions.

The resort was easy to find and the staff was warm and friendly upon our arrival. Our room was a nice size and pleasantly clean. The kids were amazed at our view of the slopes and ice skating rink. We could not wait to get started! One of the best parts of this resort is everything is within easy walking distance.

Having three kids of varying ages resulted in my younger girls wanting to ice skate first, while my 13-year-old son was ready for the speed of tubing. Guess what? You can see both, so I felt completely comfortable watching him tube while the girls ice skated! The rink was a nice size and had fun music with colored lights. My girls were thrilled! 

After a while, we joined my son on the tubing hills. There are plenty of lanes and the staff kept the lines in an orderly fashion. 

Unlike other places, AvalancheXpress allows you to go down with more than one tube. This is perfect for younger guests and resulted in a ton of giggles and amazing memories.

The resort includes two restaurants, but we opted for the nearby Bogey Macaws since the CertifiKID deal also included arcade tokens and access to Ballocity, a two-story play area with slides and loads of foam balls for shooting and launching. It was kids night, which included free meals, extra tokens and a DJ doing kid karaoke! The kids had a blast!

We are excited to visit again this winter!
