Great Wolf Lodge is Coming to Maryland!

We recently heard the most exciting, incredible, amazing news that we must share with our CertifiKID families – GREAT WOLF LODGE IS COMING TO MARYLAND! Yes, you heard that right, the largest family of indoor water park resort hotels is going to be just up the road in Perryville in Cecil County, only 1.5 hours from Washington, D.C. and a mere 45 minutes from Baltimore. Yippee! Currently, the closest Great Wolf Resorts for Baltimore-Washington area families are in Williamsburg, Virginia and the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania.

The catch: The deal is still being finalized (i.e., it’s not a ‘done deal’ yet) and, if approved, the Resort would not open until summer 2022. I know, bummer, right? But, as they say, good things come to those who wait and this new Great Wolf property is most definitely worth the wait.

According to The Baltimore Sun, Maryland’s first Great Wolf Lodge would be built on 44 acres adjacent to Hollywood Casino Perryville just off I-95. The Resort would include 500 guest rooms, restaurants, shops, a ropes course and climbing wall and, of course, a signature Great Wolf indoor/outdoor water park experience.

If all goes as planned, this new Great Wolf Resort property would be a huge boost to the area economy, creating new jobs and attracting an expected half-million visitors each year.
