No matter how you slice it, we love pizza! According to Pizza Today, an equivalent of 100 acres of pizza are consumed in a single day in the United States. The Mall of America in Minneapolis is nearly 100 acres – so we eat enough pizza to fill the Mall of America every day. That’s a lot of pepperoni!
We owe our love of pizza to a little grocery store in New York City called Lombardi’s. In 1905, they started selling pizza. And the rest is (delicious) history.
