Real Mom Review: SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium

Real Mom Reviews Things to Do

SeaQuest is an interactive aquarium where guests journey through five continents, getting an up-close, personal, and sometimes even hands-on experience with the animals and marine life. Whether your kids are feeding sharks, touching stingrays, or enjoying the more immersive experiences such as snorkeling in the premiere swim tank, this is a true "Quest of Edutainment".

SeaQuest currently has ten locations in Layton, Utah;  Las Vegas, Nevada; Fort Worth, Texas; Littleton, Colorado; Folsom, California; Trumbull, Connecticut, and Roseville, Minnesota, Lynchburg, Virginia; Woodbridge, New Jersey; and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Save up to 21% off SeaQuest Annual Passport + 6 Feeding Tokens to any of SeaQuest's locations nationwide with this Exclusive CertifiKID deal.

We sent Stephanie, one of our CertifiKID team members, and her kids to experience SeaQuest's Fort Worth location. They received free admission in exchange for providing an honest review of their experience.

SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium

SeaQuest has internationally-themed exhibits and interactive experiences. You enter on one side and make a horseshoe around an incredible collection of animals that kids can interact with.

Buy coins if you want to be able to feed the animals. You can feed birds, stingrays, iguanas and probably others we didn't get a chance to during our visit. The stingray exhibit is especially neat, so make sure you've got coins to feed them. Don't worry - they have sinks for your kiddos to wash their hands.

The day we went, there was a mermaid there and you could take photos with her.

The kids even got to pet a giant turtle.

I have to admit, I was a little worried for these animals having people touch them all day. I wondered whether that stressed them out. All of the employees were very helpful in explaining that these animals are rescued and in a much better situation. They seemed to love getting all of this attention. It was very obvious that the animal keepers greatly cared for the animals they were in charge of.

Time Recommended to Enjoy Experience

It took us about an hour to get through the whole aquarium.

Recommended Age Range

My girls are 3 and 10. We had a few other kids that were around 7 and they seemed to enjoy this the most.

Tips for Families

Don't go on the weekend, if possible. Strollers will be a little difficult to navigate. Buy tokens if you want to feed the animals.

Would Your Family Visit Again?

I probably won't take my oldest again but I would take my younger one during the week - most likely around a holiday so that we can see Santa or the Easter Bunny.
