Don't you think it's about time you Bury the Hatchet? You know, the exciting new Axe Throwing Experience that has taken the U.S. by storm! Enjoy the thrill of throwing an axe at a wooden target at Bury the Hatchet's indoor facility, located in the heart of Sandy Springs, GA. Organize a group of up to 10 people and book your CertifiKID deal for up to 33% Off this one-of-a-kind experience. Here's how it works: During your 2-hour session, you play multiple games against a variety of opponents in a round robin tournament. You throw against a partner at a target and the person with the most points after 10 throws wins that game. Winners advance to play tougher opponents while those in the non-winners bracket continue to play against others of a similar fate. No matter where your talents lie, everyone can throw an axe and everyone can make it stick! In between turns, continue the fun by watching from the sidelines, enjoying a drink or two and socializing with friends old and new. This may sound like a dangerous way to spend a Saturday night but stay with us for a minute. First of all, safety is #1 at Bury the Hatchet. They operate a very controlled environment and each guest who enters must go through their safety briefing and training session before they are allowed to participate. Once official play begins, each lane has its own designated Axe Master to oversee games and ensure participants stick to their stringent safety standards. Axe throwing has a rich history and can be experienced by anyone ages 14 and older. Chances are, you've never thrown an axe before. Fear not, the art of throwing an axe is determined by your form, not your strength so anyone regardless of how often you hit the gym, can do it! It's a great family outing with your hard-to-please teens, an excellent way to spice up date night and even adds some competitive fun to a couples night out!

Roller skating often evokes images of ‘50s-era teens clad in poodle skirts and the black-and-white makeup that was customary at the time. But at both freshly renovated Sparkles Family Fun Centers, roller-skating proves itself as a 21st-century pastime by incorporating contemporary technology. From a DJ who spins family-friendly beats at both locations to the laser-tag zone and black lights that set the Gwinnett rink aglow, modern-day touches pervade each space. The arcades are stuffed with extra helpings of bells and whistles; skee-ball and electronically scored basketball compete for attention with racing video games that re-create famous auto duels or the 1954 Drake Relays. At nearby multistory indoor playgrounds, kids get back to physical recreation, scurrying across bridges and whipping down slick slides.
Georgia has learned a lot about the universe since 1967. It was then that the Fernbank Science Center opened, offering up its outdoor gardens and indoor facilities as giant interactive textbooks for school children and the public alike. And to educate as many as possible, the center keeps general admission to its regular exhibits totally free. Eye Catchers: the stars that come into view through the Dr. Ralph L. Buice, Jr. Observatory's Cassegrain reflector, the largest telescope in the southeastern US Crown Jewel: the Jim Cherry Memorial Planetarium, which explores the mysteries of the universe—from lunar phases to color—in a 70-foot dome Permanent Mainstays: the poison-dart frogs and snakes that live together and fight over who does the dishes in the Live Animals exhibit Don't Miss: the unmanned command module from Apollo 6 Special Programs: student-focused STEM classes and camps, such as an aviation camp and a toothpick bridge-building contest
A young and old kid may have different ideas of a paradise—but Kid's Paradise is bound to please them both. Of course, Kid's Paradise hasn't forgotten parents: they can relax on massage chairs, challenge themselves on Ninja Obstacles, play pool, and make the task of monitoring kids a breeze thanks to generous sight lines to the play area. A fully trained staff to help with supervision, and a lounge with plenty of refreshments and free WiFi. We also have a cafeteria with snacks, candy, soda, and more. Like its name states, Fun Spot America Atlanta aims to be the main source of fun for kids and adults in America. Founder John Arie, Sr., whose passion for the entertainment park industry dates all the way back to 1969, employs a "safe-clean-fun" mission by developing thrilling rides and exciting attractions that are up-to-date on the latest safety features and well-maintained. Here's a snapshot of some of those "safe-clean-fun" attractions: Go-Karts: Double up or ride solo on three different tracks that include hairpin turns and curvy bends Banana Squadron: Little ones take to the air in banana planes that fly in a circle and soar up and down Drop Zone: Take a seat in the front or the back and plummet 44 feet at a thrilling pace
The 18-hole par 3 course at Peachtree Golf Center removes one major hardship of the game that often keeps beginners away: length. Instead of extremely long holes that require experience with celestial navigation, the holes are kept short so beginners can gain confidence and more seasoned players can work on their short game. Still, skilled players shouldn't become overly confident on the relatively short and flat layout, as five ponds lurk around the course and two holes run alongside the banks of the Chattahoochee River. At dusk, the overhead flood lights flicker on to let rounds continue unabated, but groups who tee off in the early- to mid-afternoon may never need them as full rounds rarely take longer than 2.5 hours.
